I. Introduction to Hebei University of Science and Technology (HEBUST)

HEBUST is one of the first batch of key interdisciplinary backbone universities in Hebei Province, a higher education institution for developing into a national first-class university with key support from Hebei Province, and a higher education institution under the “Excellent Engineer Education and Training Program” of the Ministry of Education, PRC. HEBUST has 21 teaching schools (and departments) and 63 majors at the undergraduate level, covering Engineering, Science, Literature, Economics, Management, Education, Law, Medicine, Art and Interdisciplinary. It is currently authorized to offer doctoral programs in 2 first-level disciplines, master’s programs in 28, and professional master’s degrees in 18 categories. At present, it has more than 28,000 full-time undergraduates, postgraduates and international students, and more than 2,200 faculty members. It has offered 15 English-taught majors at undergraduate and postgraduate level and enrolled more than 500 international students from over 40 countries and regions.

II. Application Requirements

(I) Non-Chinese citizens.

(II) In good physical and mental health, willing to comply with Chinese laws and university rules with good moral character, and respect Chinese customs and traditions.

(III) 18 years old or above.

(IV) Academic background with good academic performance in relevant field

1. Undergraduate programs: high school graduated, or above.

2. Master’s programs: holding bachelor’s degree or above.

3. Doctoral programs: holding master’s degree or above.

(V) Language Requirements:

1. Chinese-taught programs: HSK Level 4 with a score of 180 or above.

2. English-taught programs: native/ official English speakers, OR holding IELTS score of 5.5 or above/ TOEFL score of 70 or above, OR proof of having received English-taught education.

IV. Application Process and Required Materials

(I) Application Period: April 1, 2026 to June 10, 2026.

(II) Application Method: International Student Online Application System (Website: https://is.hebust.edu.cn/#/login).

(III) Required documents

1. Passport;

2. Digital personal ID photo (white background, bareheaded);

3. Application Form ( Download at http://english.hebust.edu.cn);

4. Physical Examination Record ( Download at http://english.hebust.edu.cn);

5. Guardian’s Guarantee Form ( Download at http://english.hebust.edu.cn);

6. Personal Resume ( Download at http://english.hebust.edu.cn);

7. Academic certificate and transcripts;

8. Certificate of No Criminal Record;

9. Bank deposit certificate (Deposit amount not less than 3000 US dollars or equivalent in other currencies);

10. Identification document of the financial sponsor.

(IV) Admission

Upon receiving the documents mentioned above, the School of International Education will decide whether the applicants can be enrolled or not. Then the Admission Letter, and the Visa Application Form for Study in China (JW202) will be emailed to the applicants within two months after the application is approved.

V. Registration and Enrollment

Admitted students apply for student visa at the Chinese embassy or consulate, arrive and do registration in HEBUST by 10^th, Sept.

4. Five ID-size photos

VII. Graduation and DegreesStudents who complete the curriculum and meet the graduation requirements within the prescribed period of study will be granted graduation. Those who meet the conditions for degree granting will be awarded the corresponding degree.
