A Delegation of Finland Education Visited HEBUST

        On the afternoon of June 25, Dr. Juha-Matti Saksa, the president of LUT University, Dr. Turo Kilpeläinen, the president of Lahti University of Applied Sciences, and Mr. Martin, the director of Asian affairs from the government of Etelä-Karjala, Finland, visited HEBUST. President Zhu Liguang and the vice president Xu Yongzan made talks with the foreign guests.
        Zhu Liguang warmly welcomed the delegation. He introduced the history, disciplines and development of HEBUST to the foreign guests. HEBUST had just successfully held its third Congress of the CPC, which had planned its medium- and long-term development goals. HEBUST would strive to build a first-class university with distinctive characteristics in China.
        Dr. Juha-Matti Saksa and Dr. Turo Kilpeläinen thanked HEBUST for its warm reception. They introduced the LUT University and Lahti University of Applied Sciences respectively. They hoped that these two sides can carry out some substantive cooperation in student exchange, program of double degree on bachelor level and master level, teacher exchange and the co-construction of Finnish-Chinese Arctic Silk Road Joint University.
        Xu Yongzan introduced the international cooperation of HEBUST, and also discussed in detail with the delegation on student exchange, the program of double degree on bachelor level and master level, the construction of international curriculum and the co-construction of Finnish-Chinese Arctic Silk Road Joint University.
        After the meeting, Zhu Liguang and Turo Kilpeläinen signed an agreement of friendship and cooperation between the two universities.
        The foreign guests also visited the Additive Manufacturing Center and the campus.
        Relevant directors of Department of International Exchange & Cooperation, School of Economics and Management and School of Environment and Engineering attended the talks.
