【Good News】Two projects from Our University Selected for the Ministry of Education's 2025 Comprehensive Reform and Excellence Construction Projects for Enhancing the Quality of Ideological and Political Education in Higher Education Institutions

Recently, the Ministry of Education announced the results of the 2025 selection for the Comprehensive Reform and Excellence Construction Projects to Enhance the Quality of Ideological and Political Education in Higher Education Institutions. Two projects from our university—Innovating the Six Integrations to Deepen Ecological Civilization Ideology and Practicing Ecological Civilization Ideology: Exploring an Integrated One-Click Three-Linkage’(One-Click refers to the initiation of the project, and Three-Linkage represents the connection among different parties) Practical Education Model for Ideological and Political Education Across Universities, Secondary, and Primary Schools”have been selected for the 2025 Exemplary Case List for Integrating the Great Reforms of the New Era into Higher Education Ideological and Political Education and the 2025 Exemplary Case List for the Integrated Development of Ideological and Political Education Across Universities, Secondary, and Primary Schools, respectively.


 

 

 

  

Our university places high priority on ecological civilization education, positioning the cultivation of ecological civilization concepts as a cornerstone of talent development. Leveraging our distinct strengths in environmental disciplines and guided by the philosophy of building consensus, establishing mechanisms, and building brands, we have proactively advanced ecological civilization education. Through practical exploration and analysis of the current landscape of ecological education in higher institutions, we have focused on strengthening the core platform for ecological education, optimizing pedagogical approaches, and fostering collaborative synergies. Since 2019, we have systematically integrated ecological civilization education into the Three All Education (All-round, All-process, All-member Education) framework. By embedding ecological principles into grassroots Party building, curriculum systems, practical activities, innovation and entrepreneurship programs, online ideological education, and global perspectives, we pioneered the Six Integrations model to deepen ecological education, achieving remarkable results and offering valuable insights for universities nationwide. Simultaneously, we have prioritized integrated ideological and political education across universities, secondary, and primary schools as a distinctive initiative. Centered on flagship programs like the Environmental Guardians Plan, we developed the One-Click Three-Linkage model, which drives school-local collaboration and school-institution partnerships to integrate and optimize resources. This framework establishes a menu-style practical education system, where primary and secondary schools propose needs and universities deliver tailored services, creating a holistic, content-rich, and dynamically optimized intrinsic educational ecosystem. By innovating a scalable platform for cross-level ideological education, we strive to forge the broadest and most vibrant collaborative circle for education, setting a pioneering example for nationwide integration of ecological and ideological-political education.

 

The Comprehensive Reform and Excellence Construction Projects for Enhancing the Quality of Ideological and Political Education in Higher Education Institutions aim to thoroughly implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, advance the “Character-Building Project for the New Generation” with upgraded quality, and clarify strategic priorities, developmental focuses, and resource allocation. These initiatives seek to cultivate a cohort of nationally exemplary and pioneering excellence projects, promote widely replicable exemplary cases with significant educational impact, and establish a high-quality ideological and political education system. By fostering a new paradigm of fostering virtue and cultivating talent, the projects strive to nurture a new generation capable of shouldering the great responsibility of national rejuvenation, thereby providing robust support for the Moral Education and Talent Development Project in the New Era.
