Delegation from University of Waikato Visited HEBUST

On the morning of December 15, Mr. Douglas Mair, Head of ICT Infrastructure, and Mr. Zhong Xin, Senior Network Engineer of University of Waikato, visited HEBUST. The two universities communicated about information sharing in educational joint program, network technique of distance education and so forth.
 
Mr. Aaron, the foreign teacher of the two universities, talked about his teaching experience in HEBUST. He put forward some suggestions on opening the dedicated computer room to facilitate cultural exchange and understanding of the outside world for the students with the curriculum of University of Waikato. The Waikato delegation introduced their network teaching system and the use of network resources. Mr. Zhong conducted operation according to the solutions provided by our university.
 
The principal of School of Material Science and Engineering introduced the network environment planning and the construction of "future classroom". Members of Center of Informatization and Construction and Management introduced our current situation and presented the solution on how to achieve interoperability between our two universities under such condition. Deputy Director of Department of International Exchange and Cooperation introduced the experience of sharing teaching resources between our university and other foreign universities and hoped to further promote the internationalization construction of our university by means of the Sino-foreign cooperative education project, in order to provide more and better teaching resources and improve the teaching resources for students.
 
The two sides agreed to further strengthen the network teaching resources of the two universities for the smooth running of cooperative education projects.
 
Members of Department of International Exchange and Cooperation, School of Material Science and Engineering as well as Center of Informatization and Construction and Management attended the talk.
