From March 28 to April 3, the 27th Chinese University Basketball League Division II Northern Conference was held in Shenyang. Representing Hebei Province as the champions of college basketball in the province, our university’s men’s basketball team competed fiercely against teams from 15 northern provinces (municipalities) and ultimately secured an outstanding sixth-place finish, setting a new historical record for our student basketball team.

During the preparation period, our coaches and athletes devoted themselves wholeheartedly, formulating scientific training plans and persisting in daily six-hour high-intensity training. They conducted hundreds of tactical rehearsals and intensive physical fitness training sessions, laying a solid foundation for the competition. Throughout the tournament, under the guidance of the Department of Physical Education coaches, the team implemented differentiated strategies against different opponents. The players demonstrated excellent teamwork and tenacity, achieving remarkable performances through swift transitions between offense and defense and accurate perimeter shooting.

In recent years, our university has adhered to the “Five-Education Initiative” which integrates moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic, and labor education into the educational system to promote students’ comprehensive development, continuously advancing the high-quality development of sports education. The basketball team’s successive achievements and record-breaking performances have showcased the positive spirit and outstanding demeanor of our students from the Hebei University of Science and Technology.
