A Delegation from University Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah Paid a Visit to HEBUST

On November 19th, a three-person delegation led by Assistant Principal Kama from University Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah visited HEBUST and signed a Memorandum of Understanding with HEBUST.Li Tiejun, President of HEBUST, met with the foreign visitors. And VicePresident Li Fatangattended the meeting and signed the memorandum on behalf ofHEBUST.

 

 

Li Tiejun extended a warm welcome to the arrival of Kama and his delegation. He stated that the two universities had already established a profound friendship and a sound foundation for cooperation in the earlier stage. And he hoped that in the future, the two sides could further carry out exchanges of visits between teachers and students, and scientific research cooperation and exchanges among preponderant disciplines, enhancing the continuous integration and development of international educational resources of the two universities.

During the meeting, Li Fatang expressed his appreciation for the good cooperative relationship previously established between UniversityMalaysia Pahang and HEBUST, and briefly introduced the history, characteristics and internationalization progress of HEBUST. He mentioned that HEBUST has been committed to expanding international educational cooperation and hoped that through this exchange, both sides could continue to explore resources and expand channels in terms of academic research, talent cultivation and international cooperation, opening up broader space for cooperation.

Kama expressed that he was honored to visit HEBUST. The two universities have a profound friendship and a good foundation for cooperation. He hoped that the two universities would continue to be committed to friendly cooperation in multiple fields, especially strengthening exchanges in preponderant disciplines such as machinery, materials, and chemical engineering. At the same time, he looked forward to more exchanges of visits between teachers and students.

After that, the two sides also held consultations on scientific research cooperation in disciplines such as chemical engineering and materials science, as well as jointly undertaking the project of “Chinese Bridge”from the Ministry of Education. Both sides unanimously stated that they would work together to continuously advance more fruitful results in the cooperation between the two universities, and make greater contributions to promoting educational exchanges and cooperation between China and Malaysia.

Finally, Li Fatang and Kama signed theMemorandum of Understanding on behalf of their respective universities.

The meeting was chaired by Yan Cuiying, Director of theOffice of International Affairsand Dean of the School of International Education. Related leaders of the School of Chemical Engineering, the School of Materials, andtheOffice of International Affairs attended the meeting and jointly witnessed the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding.
