On the morning of February 27, the founding conference of the Hebei Special Industrial Clusters University Graduates Employment Alliance was held at HEBUST. Attendees included leading officials from the provincial education department, human resources and social security department, the department of industry and information technology, the department of agriculture and rural Affairs, the department of commerce, as well as representatives from universities, top enterprises of special clusters, and associations across the province. Zhu Liguang, Party Secretary of HEBUST, delivered a speech, while Deputy Party Secretary Zhang Wenli presided over the event.

Zhu Liguang emphasized that the establishment of the alliance has fully demonstrated the collaborative efforts of provincial government, universities, and enterprises to promote shared development. As the leading unit of the alliance, HEBUST will leverage its special strengths in industry-academia-research mechanism, optimize disciplinary structures, and explore innovative models for collaborative talent cultivation. HEBUST aims to support the development of industrial clusters with local characteristics in Hebei Province by cultivating more high-caliber talents for enterprises and regional economic growth.

Ji Zhenqi, the second inspector of the provincial education department, highlighted that Hebei, a key pillar of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development strategy, possesses a robust industrial foundation. The alliance is a critical initiative to deepen industry-education integration, serve high-quality regional economic development, and bridge educational and talent chains with industrial and innovation chains. He urged universities and enterprises to align talent cultivation with the practical needs of Hebei’s industrial clusters, enhance the matching of supply and demand, and unlock employment potential through collaborative efforts.

Zhang Wei, the second inspector of the human resources department of Hebei Province, noted that Hebei, a major manufacturing province, plays significant roles in steel, automotive, chemical, and equipment manufacturing industries. He called for the alliance as a bridge, fostering multi-party collaboration, resource sharing, and complementary advantages. The alliance should strengthen talent-market alignment, improve employment and entrepreneurship services, and provide robust support for industrial growth and graduate employment.

Zhang Qingliu, the second inspector of the provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, stressed that as Hebei accelerates industrial transformation and emerging industry growth during the transition from the 14th to the 15th Five-Year Plan period, the alliance will serve as a vital link between industries and talents. It will deepen cooperation between universities and enterprises, attract graduates to attract graduates to start their careers in Hebei province, thus contribute to industrial development in Hebei province, and inject youthful energy into building a prosperous and beautiful Hebei.

During the founding conference, the leaders inaugurated a title-awarding activity for training bases of the alliance and issued appointment letters to career development mentors for students. Besides, the alliance’s charter was adopted. Its official launch was marked with an inauguration. Attendees from universities, enterprises, and associations responded positively to participating in alliance activities to advance graduate employment.

Following the ceremony, guests visited the training bases to observe their operational models. Concurrently, a job fair for HEBUST graduates was held on campus, attracting large crowds of students who actively engaged with employers.

Representatives from the employment departments of some universities also visited four enterprises including Weiyuan Bio-Chemical Co., Ltd. in Hebei province to explore job opportunities and expand cooperation channels. They discussed talent cultivation, joint construction of training bases and recruitment channel expansion.

The alliance marks a solid step forward in promoting graduate employment and boosting special industrial clusters in Hebei province. Moving forward, it will integrate resources and strengthen collaboration to improve the quality of employment, contributing to the high-quality economic and social development of Hebei.
