The five years of the "14th Five Year Plan" have been a magnificent chapter in which all faculty, students and staff have worked diligently to fulfill the grand blueprint. We have courageously undertaken the mission of cultivating talents for the Party and the country, fully implemented the fundamental task of moral education, forged ahead in such fields as Party building, talent cultivation, scientific research, social services, cultural inheritance and innovation, as well as international exchanges and cooperation, and jointly depicted a grand blueprint for the high-quality development of University of Science and Technology.

Standing at the historical juncture where the "14th Five-Year Plan" has been successfully concluded and the grand vision of the "15th Five-Year Plan" awaits to be unfolded, to freeze the wonderful moments and enlighten the future, we hereby select the representative highlights from various fields starting today, so as to gather the strength for forging ahead.

Launched today –  Party Building Leads the Way to Fulfill Missions

The Party's Overall Leadership is Strong and Effective

- Successfully held the Fourth Party Congress and mapped out the "1681" development blueprint

- Scientifically planned the overall development and systematically promoted the implementation of the "14th Five-Year Plan"

- Revised the Charter of Hebei University of Science and Technology and improved the modern university system

- Promoted the integration and mutual promotion of comprehensive and strict Party self-governance and comprehensive and strict university governance

The Level of Party Building Has Been Comprehensively Upgraded

- Implemented the First-Class Party Building Leadership Project and the Grassroots Party Organization Foundation-Strengthening and Excellence-Creating Project

- 1 branch was selected as a National Model Branch for Party Building Work

-2 branch secretaries were selected for the national university "Double Leaders" Teachers' Party Branch Secretary "Strengthening the Nation Tour" special action

- 5 grassroots Party organizations were selected for the provincial university Party building "Double Creation" projects

The Capacity of the Cadre Team Has Steadily Improved

- More than 30 cadres have participated in poverty alleviation, rural revitalization, and educational support for Xinjiang

- The Party branch of Beipuzi Village, which the university provided village-level assistance to, was awarded the National Advanced Collective in Poverty Alleviation

- Launched the "Lifeng Lecture Hall" and "Party Constitution School"; the education and training system has been continuously improved

- Completed the centralized adjustment of the seventh-term department-level leading bodies and cadres

The Talent Team Has Achieved Synchronous Leaps in Quantity and Quality

-Implemented the Talent-Strengthening University Strategy, with a total investment of 320 million yuan in talent work

-The number of national-level talents reached 19 person-times, achieving breakthroughs in both independent cultivation and introduction; the number of provincial and ministerial-level talents reached 164 person-times

-Implemented the "Muxing Scholars Program" and appointed 235 Muxing Scholars

-Introduced 265 doctors; the proportion of teachers with doctoral degrees increased to 59%

Faculty and Staff Burst with Vitality for Work and Entrepreneurship

-The College of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Engineering was awarded the Advanced Collective of the National Education System

- Teacher Sun Fengxia was awarded the National Model Teacher

- 5 people were awarded provincial titles such as the Most Beautiful Teachers in Hebei Province

-Selected as one of the first batch of Demonstration Centers for the Teaching Development of University Teachers in Hebei Province

- The Journal of Hebei University of Science and Technology was included in the Peking University Core Journals

United Front and Mass Organizations Take Proactive Actions

-Approved 1 model worker and staff innovation studio as a demonstration in the national education, science, culture, health and sports system

-Approved 1 National Model Staff Home

-Awarded as an Advanced Unit in Propaganda, Ideological and Cultural Work by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League

-Awarded as an Excellent Unit for the national summer "Three Going to the Countryside" social practice activity

-Submitted nearly 100 proposals at all levels and of various types, with 16 items receiving instructions at or above the provincial level
