On April 21, the 2024 Hebei Provincial Science and Technology Awards Ceremony was held in Shijiazhuang. The event honored recipients of 2024 provincial science and technology awards, with our university winning nine awards. Among them, HEBUST received: 2 second prizes in the Natural Science Awards (as primary institution), 2 second prizes and 1 third prize in the Science and Technology Progress Awards (as primary institution), 1 first prize and 2 third prizes in the Science and Technology Progress Awards (as collaborating institution), and 1 Science Popularization Award.

The Hebei Provincial Science and Technology Awards serve as a key indicator of institutional innovation capabilities and comprehensive research strength within the province, while establishing qualifications for the National Science and Technology Awards.

In recent years, HEBUST has prioritized technological innovation, strategically aligning with China’s national priorities and Hebei’s industrial transformation imperatives. Through deepening industry-academia-research-application integration mechanisms, the university has achieved breakthroughs in proprietary core technologies across four domains: advanced materials engineering, biological manufacturing systems, intelligent manufacturing technologies, and sustainable chemical processes. Moving forward, HEBUST will further strengthen its innovation capacity, cultivate more high-caliber achievements, and contribute greater scientific prowess to building a prosperous and beautiful Hebei Province, advancing the Hebei chapter of modernization with Chinese characteristics.
