Five Years of Endeavors, Bountiful Fruits in Sight

The five years of the "14th Five-Year Plan" have been a magnificent chapter in which all faculty, students and staff have worked diligently to fulfill the grand blueprint. We have courageously undertaken the mission of cultivating talents for the Party and the country, fully implemented the fundamental task of moral education, forged ahead in such fields as Party building, talent cultivation, scientific research, social services, cultural inheritance and innovation, as well as international exchanges and cooperation, and jointly depicted a grand blueprint for the high-quality development of University of Science and Technology.

Standing at the historical juncture where the "14th Five-Year Plan" has been successfully concluded and the grand vision of the "15th Five-Year Plan" awaits to be unfolded, to freeze the wonderful moments and enlighten the future, we hereby select the representative highlights from various fields starting today, so as to gather the strength for forging ahead.

Launched today – Information Technology Empowers New Vitality

The infrastructure for informatization has been further improved.

-Built a new-generation all-optical network with full wired & wireless coverage and 5G integration

-Built a new campus one-card system with multi-medium (card, QR code, face) and virtualization features

-Built a digital campus operation center, a new network center, and a data center machine room

-Built the Hebei University of Science and Technology node of the CERNET Computing Power Cloud Platform

-Promoted large-scale deployment and application of IPv6

The application scenarios of artificial intelligence have become more diversified.

-Established an artificial intelligence (AI) capability center platform; launched intelligent agents such as AI Librarian, "Shu Nixing" (Data Assistant), and "He Xiaoke" (Hebei Sci-Tech Assistant)

-Launched intelligent robots (e.g., regulatory document assistant, informatization assistant) based on the WeChat Work platform

-Independently developed an AI agent development platform based on Dify

The informatization experience of teachers and students has become more intelligent.

-Built the "One-Stop Service" platform and the new OA document system

-Built a mobile office portal based on WeChat Work, with over 31,000 users

-Supported more than 90 business information systems

-Fully upgraded service functions such as email, cloud storage, and meetings

-Built a teacher homepage system and a digital video production center

Data sharing and governance have become more precise.

-Built the university's data middle platform and data classification/grading system, and formulated and released data standards

-Built a public data platform, a teacher-student personal data center, and a "one-form" platform

-Built a unified identity authentication platform, enabling single sign-on for 48 systems

The cybersecurity defense line has been further consolidated.

-Initially established a complete cybersecurity and data security protection system

-28 business information systems passed the cybersecurity level protection assessment

-Built a zero-trust access control system, enabling seamless access to internal network resources for teachers and students

-Built a legitimate software service platform

-Two cases were successfully selected as excellent cases for CELTSC digital education standard application
