Our School Held an Online Meeting with the University of Waikato, New Zealand

On the morning of June 29, our school held an online meeting with the University of Waikato, New Zealand. Vice President Xu Yongzan attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Nine people including Alister Jones, Senior Executive Vice President of the University of Waikato, Sharon Calvert, Director of the International Office, and Mike Duke, Acting Dean of the School of Engineering, attended the meeting.

During the meeting, Xu Yongzan fully affirmed the achievements of the two parties in the cooperation project of metal material engineering major, and expressed his gratitude to the Singaporean side for its strong support. Promote new progress in cooperation between the two universities. Alister Jones praised the solid and friendly cooperative relationship between the two universities and the good operation results of the project, fully affirmed the quality of student training in the project, and looked forward to mutual visits between the two universities as soon as possible, further deepening cooperation, and creating new results.


Afterwards, the two sides fully exchanged views on the postgraduate entrance examination and employment situation of graduates of the metal materials engineering cooperative education project, the enrollment situation and publicity measures in 2022, the project double-degree registration arrangement, and the achievements of students going to New Zealand. The feasibility of the project is discussed in depth.


This meeting is a substantive measure for our school to make full use of the opportunity of the 2022 China Langfang International Economic and Trade Fair to promote the high-quality development of Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools, and to promote the deepening of our school's international education work.


The meeting was presided over by Yan Cuiying, director of the International Cooperation Office, and the heads of the International Cooperation Office, the School of Materials Science and related personnel attended the meeting.
