Our school held an online video conference with the University of Waikato in New Zealand

On the morning of March 19th, our school held an online video conference with the University of Waikato in New Zealand. Vice President Xu Yongzan attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Six people including Sharon Calvert, Director of International Office of the University of Waikato, Mu Lan, Deputy Director, and Michael Wormsley, Deputy Dean of the School of Engineering, attended the meeting.

During the meeting, Xu Yongzan gave a detailed introduction to the operation of the Sino-foreign cooperative education project of the metal materials engineering major of our school during the epidemic, and expressed his gratitude to the New Zealand side for its efforts to ensure the smooth operation of the teaching during this period. He hoped that the two sides can continue to explore new cooperation projects on the basis of good cooperation.


Sharon Calvert expressed his gratitude to the new direction that our school has overcome during the epidemic and for supporting the teaching work of the cooperative school project. He also highly affirmed the results of our school's students studying in New Zealand and looked forward to further cooperation with our school.


Subsequently, the relevant persons in charge of the International Cooperation Office and the School of Materials Science and Technology of our school conducted in-depth exchanges on the joint organization of online academic forums, short-term postgraduate exchanges, mutual employment of master tutors, application for new cooperative education projects, and renewal of foreign teachers.
